General Manager

Dermot provides overall leadership to the company, working together with the Leadership Team. The team’s focus is to establish, implement and over-see the long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies of the company. Dermot’s also fulfils the role of Project Delivery Manager, providing a focal point for the planning and execution of all Atteris projects within budget and schedule while aiming to exceed the satisfaction of our clients. In addition, Dermot also acts as Principal Consultant.


Dermot graduated from the University of Limerick in 1989 with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1990. With close to 30 years’ industry experience, Dermot has built up extensive industry knowledge, in particular in subsea pipeline design and construction. He has worked in a number of geographical areas including United Kingdom, Oman, Italy, Australia, Indonesia and the Gulf of Mexico. He also has extensive experience working with both design consultants and installation contractors, providing him with an excellent understanding of the interfaces between design and construction.
Dermot held a number of senior management roles with ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of the engineering delivered to clients prior to his appointment as General Manager at Atteris.
