Compression Platform Tie-In Feasibility Study
Background
Client’s development is a subsea tieback to an onshore gas plant. Client was investigating an option of retro-fitting a mid-line tie-in point to facilitate the connection of a fixed compression platform in approximately 100 m to 150 m water depth.
Work Performed by Atteris
The scope included:
- Identification and assessment of isolation technologies
- Identification and assessment of offtake tie-in architectures and installation methods
- Cost estimates for selected concepts
Benefits
Atteris identified and assessed the feasibility of a range of isolation technologies, tie-in architectures and installation methods for the retro-fit tie-in of a compression platform to an existing large bore gas pipeline with no pre‑installed tie‑in locations.
