A “swim”, “cycle”, and “run” away from physical model testing of submarine pipelines, concrete mattresses, and rock berms, Atteris swapped their lab coats in favour of lycra, sending four teams to compete in Australian Supers 2015 Corporate Triathlon held in Perth, 8th March.
Teams were presented with fabulous weather for their 400m swim, 9km cycle, and 4km run. Four teams of three competed, taking it in turn to complete all legs to achieve a combined team time. There wasn’t many, if any, that enjoyed the swim in the Swan River, but all agreed the challenge was welcome. Atteris’ best placed team, consisting of Managing Director, Eric Jas, Engineering Manager, Dan Hayes, and Lead Engineer Tom Seeber, delivered a combined time of 2:31:03 to secure 56th overall and 9th in the industry competition.
Look out for the Atteris triathletes at next year’s event. Well done team!
