Atteris Commences Shore Crossing Engineering for Carnegie’s Albany Wave Energy Project

Atteris have been awarded an engineering design feasibility study for an export power cable that crosses the Albany shoreline in Western Australia, in support of Carnegie’s latest offshore wave energy project.

Carnegie Clean Energy successfully won a $15.75M state government grant for the design and installation of a wave energy farm off the coast of Western Australia. An export cable is required to transport renewable energy onshore to connect to the domestic power grid. The location presents numerous challenges for the cable shore crossing including a highly active seastate and steep cliffs up to 100m tall. Atteris is a subsea and pipelines engineering design house and consultancy servicing the oil and gas, utilities, and renewable energy industry sectors.
