This year’s annual Corrosion and Prevention Conference and Exhibition run by the Australian Corrosion Association, was hosted in Darwin on the 21st through to the 24th September. Atteris sent a team of three representatives to participate in the exhibition and present our technical paper entitled Cathodic Protection in Cased Pipelines in Shore Crossings – Challenges in Design (M Willis – Atteris, S Claveria – Atteris, B Martin – Brian Martin & Associates).
Over the three days there were many technical papers presented and good discussion in the technical forums, not to mentions lots of opportunities for networking. Making the Atteris exhibition stand somewhat of a talking point, we had a driving challenge to test the hand eye coordination of our industry colleagues. The challenge was to drive a small radio controlled car round a short course with the quickest time of the day picking up a bottle of wine and the overall best time would also be awarded a signed Kookaburras jersey by the world championship winning national coach, Ric Charlesworth. That challenge was won by Chris Harrey of A&E Systems.
