APGA WA Chapter Dinner – April 16

Atteris attended the APGA WA Chapter Dinner on April 16th at the Parmelia Hilton in Perth.

The evening was well attended with over 130 representatives from the Australian pipeline and gas industry present. It was the first APGA event in WA since the association officially changed its name from the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) to the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA). Atteris supported the name change as it recognises the significance of the associations continuing contribution to gas policy development.

The Atteris table was well positioned in the front row for, guest speaker, Jon Cleary’s speech. Jon is General Manager Commercial at DBP and shared some interesting insights into the future of gas in the Pilbara. Among them was an update on the completion of the onshore Wheatstone pipeline tie-in to the Dampier Bunbury Pipeline. This was particularly interesting as Atteris have been and involved in both the design and construction of the offshore Wheatstone trunkline and shore crossing.

Atteris look forward to supporting the next APGA event in WA, which is the Young Pipeliner’s Forum (YPF) networking event on May 27th.
